DurhamWorks helps employers expand workforce with a £2,500 grant
DurhamWorks is supporting unemployed young people aged 16 to 24 to secure employment by providing small businesses with a salary grant of up to £2,500.
Using the grant, the DurhamWorks team have secured employment for 50 young people in the last 12 months and helped employers to expand their workforce.
DurhamWorks is a dedicated programme for young people living in County Durham who are not in education, employment or training and is funded by The European Social Fund, supported by the European Youth Employment Initiative and delivery partners.
The funding is available until July 2021, by then they aim to have supported up to 10,000 young people.
