Heel & Toe unveils 2026 fundraising calendar
Heel & Toe, a charity based near the Drum Industrial Estate in Pelton providing therapy for children with physical disabilities and complex needs, has revealed its 2026 events schedule.
The calendar offers local businesses a variety of sponsorship opportunities throughout the year, supporting everything from themed nights and sports challenges to corporate golf days and the charity’s flagship Annual Charity Ball.
The fundraising programme kicks off in March with an 80s Night, expected to draw around 200 guests. The main sponsor will enjoy branding on posters, tickets, and event materials, as well as the chance to present prizes on the night.
May and September will see two corporate Golf Days, giving local businesses the chance to network while fundraising. Sponsors can field a team of four, benefit from on-the-day branding, and take part in prize presentations.
June promises a busy schedule, beginning with An Evening with Sir Les Ferdinand, a sportsman’s dinner welcoming around 200 guests, offering multiple sponsorship options. The month also features the Total Warrior Challenge, and the Cheviot Challenge take place.
July features the Dragon Boat Race, expected to attract around 100 attendees, and September includes the Great North Run with roughly 200 runners.
The fundraising year concludes in November with the Annual Charity Ball, Heel & Toe’s largest event, welcoming approximately 300 guests and offering a range of sponsorship packages.
Community Fundraiser Mandy Hammond, whose child was among the charity’s first therapy recipients, said: “The support from these events changes lives. It means children can get the therapy they need, and families like ours feel the difference every day. We’re so grateful to the businesses who help make that possible.”
The charity provides massage therapy, movement therapy, sensory therapy, physiotherapy, hippotherapy, hydrotherapy, and rebound therapy through highly qualified paediatric therapists in specially adapted facilities. Every penny raised through sponsorship goes directly to funding therapy for families across the region.
