Cash injection accelerates prestigious car firm’s performance

The owners of Performance28 have invested a quarter of a million-pound towards the purchase of a unit beside its current premises located at the Drum Industrial Estate in Chester-le-Street.

The new 4,000 square feet unit will be transformed into a state-of-the-art workshop equipped with ramps and cutting-edge diagnostic tools to offer specialised servicing and repairs, plus cosmetic and performance modifications for high-premium cars.

Relocating the workshop means the existing 7,000 square foot property will become a dedicated stylish showroom to display an extended range of cars. This includes prestigious brands Audi, Bentley, Dodge, Lamborghini, and Mercedes-Benz. The area will also serve as a hub for car enthusiasts and customers.

The move also means the company is planning to double its specialist mechanic team from two to four to meet demand as it anticipates a significant increase in annual turnover.

Entrepreneurs Aiden Sunter and Tony Thomson established the company in 2018 and have built an exemplary reputation for the finest cars and customer service with over 80 percent of trade coming from recommendations.

Aiden said: “This investment represents an important milestone for the business, demonstrating our commitment to the brand and showing both customers and staff that we can look forward to a bright and prosperous future.

“The creation of a dedicated workshop means we can expand our customer base, so we will be increasing our team of specialist technicians who have in-depth skills to provide a top-notch car service experience.”

The new-look dealership showroom will officially open on 1 August while the workshop will be operational from 3 July.
