County Durham Pound wins Best Public Sector Project Award

The award recognises a public sector organisation that has commissioned or procured a single project or framework and maximised the delivery of social value.

Up against competition from the likes of Mayor of London’s Architecture and Urbanism Framework and Cheshire and Merseyside – Giving People a Voice, County Durham Pound was crowned victorious at the ceremony in London in June.

County Durham Pound set out to generate opportunities with some of the main objectives being to create more jobs for local people, reduce our impact on the environment and support meaningful training and upskilling.
