Durham Food Bank volunteer appeal
Durham Food Bank is seeking volunteers to join its warehouse team based on The Drum Industrial Estate.
The foodbank, part of a nationwide network of food banks supported by The Trussell Trust, does not operate as a collection point and takes food donations only.
It is located at Unit 7/9 First Avenue, Drum Industrial Estate, Chester le Street, DH2 1AG.
The roles will suit anyone looking for a new challenge or wanting to give something back during 2023.

The food bank also needs the support of businesses to help tackle food poverty, and there are lots of other ways to help including organising a fundraising event or donating equipment to help with the day-to-day running of the food bank.
As inflation continues to increase and rising bills put pressure on families, the Trussell Trust continues to provide emergency food along with practical support to help people in crisis.
It is currently running low on tinned fruit, coffee, spaghetti, sponge puddings, jam, and long-life juice.
