Durham Skin Lab is a finalist in the Blueprint Durham University award

The company has secured a spot in the top six out of more than 90 start-up entries, highlighting its rapid growth and innovative approach in the skincare industry.

The Blueprint Challenge is a year-long programme that helps student entrepreneurs turn big ideas into real-world success. It offers expert mentoring, business development support, and access to investors. The competition brings together top talent from five North East universities and connects them with forward-thinking local and national business leaders.

Founded by Dr. Mohammad Alansary (pictured) and backed by Durham University’s Venture Lab, Durham Skin Lab is transforming treatment for chronic skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and vitiligo. Its natural, patented formulas have already brought lasting relief to hundreds of children and adults.

The innovation doesn’t stop there. Durham Skin Lab also empowers other entrepreneurs to build their own businesses. The company offers a full suite of services, from manufacturing and packaging to distribution, allowing health and wellbeing startups to launch their own products without massive upfront costs. This makes it possible for startups to launch their own products without the usual high costs.
