Lloyds pledges £1 billion to North East businesses in 2026
Lloyds Banking Group has announced it will provide over £1 billion in new finance to businesses across the North East in 2026.
This is part of the bank’s wider plan to make more than £35 billion available to UK companies next year.
It’s designed to help firms of all sizes invest, grow, and compete, particularly as the region positions itself at the forefront of the UK’s clean energy transition.
Research from Lloyds shows strong demand for investment in the region. Most senior business leaders agree more private sector finance is needed to unlock economic potential, strengthen supply chains, create jobs, expand operations, enhance research and development, and improve productivity.
Businesses interested in accessing this support should contact Lloyds Bank’s business banking team or their relationship manager to explore tailored lending options.
