Reed in Partnership looks to set up employer support network

Reed in Partnership and the Restart Scheme, which helps long-term unemployed people into work, is looking to set up an employer support network.

Reed in Partnership delivers the Restart Scheme, which is part of the government’s Plan for Jobs, throughout the North East of England.

By working with Reed in Partnership, companies get free support to fill vacancies while helping people in the local area change their lives for the better.

Reed in Partnership also organise job fairs where any employer looking for staff can exhibit, and now are looking to extend the support by offering support through networking and will hold a kick-off event in the New Year.

Anna Warner, Partnership Manager at Reed in Partnership, said: “We would like to hear from employers and businesses about the external support they would they like to see in room at a networking event.

“This could be anything from external HR resources to banking and accounting. Other things could be access to hot desks, catering organisations, or general business support. We can also offer employers an insight in to becoming Disability Confident employers and offer short sessions either face to face or via Teams to interested parties.

“Once we know what would be helpful, we will pull it all together and send out invitations to attend.”
