Search for digital ambassadors underway
The Digital Ambassadors (DA25) program, run by the North East Institute of Technology (NEIoT), is searching for local businesses to shape the future of higher education.
NEIoT is a government-backed collaboration between businesses and educational institutions, focused on advancing higher technical education, particularly in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
This initiative aims to bring software solutions to life in the classroom by inviting Construction and Built Environment businesses from County Durham and the wider North East region to participate.
Local colleges are calling for support through the delivery of guest lectures and the provision of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for lecturers.
One of NEIoT’s top priorities is to ensure students graduate with the skills employers want and need.
This is achieved through collaboration with employers leading to the creation of new, and adaption of current qualifications.
DA25 will launch in February, with Construction & Built Environment businesses working with seven Colleges from across the North East and Tees Valley.
